Reduced Fat Creamy Skippy® issues Peanut Butter Spread Called Back For Reliable Contaminated With Metal Fragments
The Ministry of Health took note of a report from the website of the US Food and Drug Administation (FDA) in www.fda.gov.my about me recall voluntarily and is limited by the company Hormel Foods Sales LLC, United States (US) against a batch of peanut butter product SKIPPY® Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread is distributed in Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware and Arkansas, the US feared contaminated with fine metal fragments. Batch involved are packing 16.3 ounce jars, "Best If Used By" the DEC1416LR1 with the UPC code 37600-10500.
DKSH company which imports and distributes its products in Malaysia SKIPPY® Peanut Butter also confirmed that the products were recalled in the United States only distributed to seven (7) states in the United States as noted above and the products were not distributed to other countries, including Malaysia ,
However, as a precautionary measure, the Ministry of Health does not allow the import of a batch of the product concerned.
