What is Haze?


 


Haze is a phenomenon caused by the existence of many small particles which are invisible to the naked eye and float in the air. These particles may originate naturally or side effects of human activities. When these particles exist in large quantities and it can restrict the cluster sunlight to the earth. Therefore this condition reduces the distance to the eye.



Cause - Cause Haze

The main cause of haze is a result of:

Openly burning
Smoke from factory
Smoke From Car
REFRAIN FROM ACTS WHICH MAY RESULT IN HAZE.

Air Pollution Index (API)

The API is derived from the measurement of fine particles (10 micron and below) and several types of gas that can affect health, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone. The API is used as a guide for air quality and its impact on health as follows: -

You need to keep abreast with the current through the mass media (newspapers, television and radio) in order to gauge the current haze in your area in order to take measures - preventive measures.

Those at high risk are advised to take leave outside of the hazy, if the haze continues at dangerous levels in their area.
