What is normal puberty?
Puberty occurs when your body undergoes physical changes from being a child to an adult.
Puberty occurs over a number of years:
  • Between the age of 8 and 13 years (average of 11 years) in girls.
  • Between 9-14 years (average of 11.5 years) in boys.
Girls start puberty with breasts development. Other changes include pubic hair growth, growth spurt, and finally periodic bleed (menstruation). Menstruation should occur before the age of 16.

Test pre-marital HIV screening can be done in any clinic in Malaysia and performed for free. The main purpose of this test is to enable individuals to know their HIV status, especially among at risk either infected with HIV or otherwise and take appropriate action to prevent further transmission of the disease to others. Any individuals who have been infected will be given health education, counseling, treatment and others to ensure that their health is being maintained.

As if there is a perception among people who associate sex as an excuse for children who are late to talk.

Not surprisingly, we often hear dialogue like "compared to the girl, the boy was slow to speak '. But is this perception true?

Ask question to the Speech Language Therapists Rehabilitation Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Dr. Basyariatul (Basha) Fathi Othman, but said that view is a myth.
