AIDS is a dangerous disease that plagued mankind. The absence of a vaccine and to eliminate the disease ubat again complicate efforts to escort wabak AIDS in this country. Kes HIV first reported in this country in 1986. Since then the number of reported HIV KES to the Ministry Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) increases every year. So that as many as 51.256 KES 2002 Disember HIV were reported in Malaysia.


Statistics based on the Ministry Kesihatan Malaysia, more than 40% of those afflicted by HIV than groups comprising teenagers under the age of 29 years. HIV outbreaks are reported to the meeting in relation to behavior and way of life of individuals. Two major outbreaks of known means for sure is through unprotected sex and needle partnership bye.

Prostar is an acronym for Program Sihat Without AIDS for Youth. This program was introduced by KKM in an attempt to deal with HIV / AIDS among adolescents. Idea embodiment ProStar has been initiated in 1995 the results of discussions with various agencies KKM royal and not royal. Pelancaran program has been refined by Timbalan Prime Minister of Malaysia on 24 November 1996 in Plain Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. This is followed by the issuance and use of the Prostar training manual in the same year.
